A bucket full of dreams

As a kid I grew up with good horses. They weren't the prettiest creatures in the world but my parents provided me with safe, reliable and most of the time rideable horses. For that I'm so grateful. One day after school I visited a friend who's family owned a sure enough Quarter horse stallion. I watched and even assisted them as they prepared this incredible buckskin for a local horse show. I don't even remember if the horse placed or not but I was ruined and inspired at the same time. Inspired enough to go home and take better care of my not so high bred nag. Ruined by the fact that I would never be satisfied until one day I owned, trained and groomed a horse equal or better than my friend's beast of a show horse.Recently, all of that and more came true. A huge dent was put in my life's bucket list. With my dad a phone call away, my wife Laquita Briggs and trainer Jamie Lanoue in the bleachers, my yearling stallion, Invictus won the Palomino World Show. Wow! A world champion!I'm grateful for so many people who have helped and inspired me along my bucket list/dream path. However there were some who were not inspiring at all. They motivated me with their words of disbelief or expressions of doubt. They called my dream, silly, unattainable or even childish. Movement In the right direction is good however it comes. Some people have a bucket list but have never created a bucket. God's not in the spilling business, He's in the filling business. You need a big capacity bucket if your dreaming God sized dreams.Don't be discouraged. The path of a dream has a lot of repeat turns. Keep dreaming and turning! One day, others might be surprised, but not you. You had it in you all along!Make an action list to put with your bucket list and watch your dreams come true!Proverbs 13:19"It is pleasant to see dreams come true, but fools refuse to turn from evil to attain them"
